
James Luse is a specialist in Michael Chekhov Acting Technique. As a master teacher of acting and directing, he has taught at the Michael Chekhov Acting Studio in New York and has been appointed to the theatre faculties of Yale University, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, New York University, Wayne State University, Wesleyan University, NY State Education Dept., Hampton University, Northern Michigan University and Three Rivers College.
He has directed over 3000 readings, workshops and productions in regional, stock and academic theatre including productions at the Virginia Shakespeare Festival, Virgnia Stage Co., Berkshire Theatre Festival, Long Wharf Theatre, Hilberry Classical Repertory Theatre, and Timberlake Playhouse.
His acting credits include Off Off Broadway and regional roles at the Arclight Theatre, New Moon Rep, Roust Theatre Co., Bristol Riverside Theatre, HERE, Orchestra New England, The International Stanislavski Theatre Studio, The Jewish Ensemble Theatre, and Shakespeare on the Sound.
